Newell Resident, Dies
Mrs. Mary Jane Marchand, 82, Newell, died at 6:30 a.m. today in Uniontown hospital.
She was born in Newell, June 29, 1879, the daughter of Louis and Mary Jane Short Furlong. She was a member of the Ladies auxiliary to Newell post 1606, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mrs. Marchand leaves her husband, Samuel V. Marchand; three sons, Lucius, Youngstown, O., and Lewis and Clyde, Newell; two daughters, Mrs. John Komer, Youngstown, and Mrs. Ray Evans, Newell; a sister, Mrs. W. F. Johnson, Brownsville; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
