Courtier and Politician. He served as a Member of Parliament at various times between 1621 and 1629, when King Charles I decided to rule without a parliament. He succeeded to the family estate in 1596, upon the death of his father Sir John Puckering, who had been Speaker of the House of Commons and Lord Keeper of the Great Seal from 1592. In 1611 he was created the 1st Baronet of Weston and in 1612 he was knighted. In 1625 he was the High Sherriff of Warwickshire. In his later life he lived at his estate in Warwick, where there is now a street named after him, and died at the early age of 45.
