Drummond Chapel Methodist Church, Morgantown, WV, now a part of Suncrest United Methodist Church, is among those served by Rev DeBardi. He began his ministry there in 1944 and served approximately 14 years. Under his leadership, Drummond grew from a small country chapel to a large suburban church. He married Susan Jacobs in mid-life and they had no known children. One Source gives his title and name as Rev. Dr. Joseph DeBardi.

DeBARDI, THE REV. JOSEPH P., 79, of Clearwater, died Sunday (Feb. 27, 1994) at home. He was born in Masontown, W.Va., and came here in 1979 from Clarksburg, W.Va. He was a Methodist minister and a member of the West Virginia United Methodist Conference. He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, Boston University and Harvard University. Survivors include his wife, Susan; four brothers, Tony, of Palouse, Washington, Nick, Lynnwood, Wash., Lewis, Masontown, and Armond, Coronado, Calif. Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.
