Aurelia Riedle Artzer, 63, Topeka, died Monday Aug. 30, 1993 at a Topeka care home. Mrs. Artzer had been a cashier for Falley's and C & W Grocery.

She was born May 23, 1930 in St. Peter in Graham County, the daughter of John and Anna Rome Riedel.

Mrs. Artzer was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the auxiliary to Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #58 in Topeka.

She was married to James A. Artzer, April 19, 1952 in Topeka. He died Jan. 30, 1993.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharron K. Roberts, Lecompton, and Karen M. Schaller, Lawrence; her mother, Anna Riedle, St. Peter; seven sisters, Leona Kinderknecht, Clara Rinan, Dorris Perry and Mary Lynn Ryan, all of Salina, Jeannie Gross, Hays, Viola Gross, Oklahoma City, and Vera Hartman, Grainfield; five brothers, Edward Riedel, Valley Falls, Joe Riedel and Robert Riedel, both of Topeka, John Riedel, Park, and Vern Riedel, St. Peter; and three grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Artzer will lie in state from 2 until 9 p.m. today at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today.
