She died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1992, at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City.
She was born June 14, 1927, on a farm northeast of St. Peter, to John Joseph and Anna Katherine Rome Riedel. She attended schools in the St. Peter area.
She graduated from cosmetology school in Salina and became a licensed cosmetologist. She moved from Salina to Junction City in 1950. She owned and operated Fiffe Beauty Shop from 1959 until she retired in 1991.
She belonged to St. Xavier's Catholic Church in Junction City, the Circle 4, the Ladies Golf Assn. and the Faculty Wives Assn.
She married Charles G. Fiffe on Nov. 25, 1950, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include her mother, Anna K. Riedel, St. Peter; a son, Jon Pierre Fiffe, Muskegon, Mich.; four daughters, Collette Matthews and Laurie Crites, both of Junction City, Diane White, Lawrence, and Marie Larsen, Omaha, Neb.; five brothers, Bob Riedel and Joe L. Riedel, both of Topeka, John Riedel, Park, Ed Riedel, Valley Falls and Vern Riedel, St. Peter; eight sisters, Leona Kinderknecht, Clara Finan, Doris Perry and Mary Lynn Ryan, all of Salina, Aurelia Artzer, Topeka, Jeannie Gross, Hays, Vera Hartman, Grainfield and Viola Gross, Oklahoma City; and 11 grandchildren.
