Geraldine A. "Sue" McCormick, 66, of Smicksburg, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Mrs. McCormick was born August 11, 1947, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Lewis) Hill.
She is survived by her husband, William L. McCormick, of Smicksburg.
Geraldine was a member of the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Company, where she cooked many meals.
She loved Bingo and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by two sons, Vance McCormick and wife Margie, and Dan McCormick and wife Mona, all of Smicksburg; two daughters, Billie Jo Cary and friend Ed Sloniger of Punxsutawney, and Kim Good of Smicksburg; one brother; Philip Hill and wife Sherri of Alaska; five sisters, Mary Campagnola and husband Joseph of Rossiter, Jemima Spiers of Punxsutawney, Charlotte Lane of Cloe, Violet Hill of Erie, and Jane Woods of Rossiter; seven grandchildren; Shawn Smith, Kayla Stiver, Shayla Dicello, Daniel McCormick, Jr., Danielle McCormick, Cheyenne McCormick and Brice Good; six great-grandchildren, Layla Ewen, Brock DiCello, Zachary Stiver, Hayden Smith, Lucas McCormick and Beau McCormick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Cal Henry officiating.
Private interment will follow at North Point Cemetery.
