"PORTAGE LAKES - Mrs. Dora R. Sowers, 72, resident of Akron and Portage Lakes for 38 years, died Wednesday In her home, 1353 E. Turkeyfoot Lake rd. after a three-week illness. She was a member of the East Liberty Evangelical United Brethren Church and Coventry council, Daughters of America. Mrs. Sowers leaves two sons, Herbert L. and Earl D., both of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Harris of Clinton and Mrs. Irene Kittle of Akron; two brothers, A. M. and P. M. Kittle of Belington, W. Va.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p. m. Saturday in Eckard Funeral Home, Akron, where friends may call after 3 p. m. Friday. Burial will be in East Liberty Cemetery."
