Margaret Beckman Devine, 83, of Lodi, died Friday night at a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Lodi and attended Emerson School. She graduated from Lodi High School in 1919 and attended the University of California at Berkeley.
In 1921, she married J.E. Devine in Lodi. Mr. Devine died in 1957.
She enjoyed traveling, music, and singing. She was a live member of the Lodi Womens Club, Lodi Chapter No. 150 of the Order of Eastern Star and Omega Nu Sorority, for which she served as grand president of the Pink Ladies and the Emperiors Branch at Lodi Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Devine is survived by one daughter, Alice Handel; one brother, LeMoin Beckman; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son, Dalton; and one sister, Winfred Jones.
