Eloise Troxell, 89, of Walkersville, died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, following a stroke one week ago. Born July 22, 1924 in Legore, she was the daughter of the late Keefer Gordon Eyler and Margie Viola Redman Eyler. She was the wife of Wilson Lamar Troxell Sr., who died in 1998. Mrs. Troxell was a member of Oak Hill Church of God, Legore. She retired from Frederick Memorial Hospital, having worked in the laundry room and was formerly employed at Food Lion, Taneytown. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning. Surviving are one daughter, Judy Beall and husband, William of Keymar; five sons, Wilson Troxell Jr. and companion, Dorthea Barrick of Fairfield, PA, Paul Troxell of Walkersville, Nevin Troxell and wife, Hope of Frederick, Brian Troxell and wife, Elaine of Mt. Pleasant, Dirk Troxell and wife, Cathy of Knoxville; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Ambrose of Keymar and Teresa White of Emmitsburg; and three brothers, Robert Eyler and Terry Lee Eyler, both of Woodsboro and Jerry Eyler of Adamstown. She was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis June Troxell; grandson Todd William Beall; sisters, Barbara Eyler, Garnetta Abrecht, and Doris Olinger; brothers, Paul and Richard Eyler; daughter-in-law, Judy Troxell; and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro on Wednesday, April 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 10 at Oak Hill Church of God in Keymar, MD, with Rev. Mark Ginter, her pastor, Rev. Arthur Baugher, retired pastor, and Rev. Dave Collins officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Legore.
