Mr. William Maus was born 5 miles east of Belleville on Carlyle road. Shortly after 1874, he entered employ of Broscoe & Ziesemann in St. Louis; he later became a partner.
He was appointed business manager for Ellermann Brewing Supply Co. of St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife, Marie and his brother and sisters:

Mrs. Dr. Rubach, Belleville
Frederick K. Maus, Chicago
Interment will be in Walnut Hill.
