Mrs. Bang, a widow of the late William Bang, was born in Belleville, December 24, 1844, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Maus. She was very well known in Belleville both her father and husband having conducted the old National Hotel in this city for many years. Twenty-five years ago the family moved to Chicago, where they have been residing since.
Besides Mrs. Ressler who resides at the Starkel home on South Charles, Mrs. Bang leaves another daughter, Mrs. Emma Stock, and a son, August Bang of Chicago. Two grandchildren also survive. They are: Homer Bang, Vice president of the Chicago Telephone Company, and Miss Eleanor Stock of Chicago.
The remains of the deceased will be cremated in Chicago Thursday of this week. Mrs. Ressler will attend the services.
