James E. Booher, son of John W. Booher and Viola Jane Parris Booher, was born in Taylor county, Iowa Nov. 6, 1899, and departed this life at his home in Bethany, Missouri April 26, 1942, aged 42 years, five months and 20 days. He had been in poor health for a long time a victim of arthritis. He was married to Snow Barnett, Dec. 24, 1920. To this union six children were born. Children surving him are Helen of Long Beach, Calif., Novella, Nellie, James, and John of the home. He is survived by his father John W. Booher; Athelstan Iowa. He is survived by four brothers, George W. Booher of Athelstain, Iowa, Paul of Sidney, Iowa, Virgil L Booher of Bingham Lake, Minn. and (twin) John B. Booher of Bethany, Mo. Five sisters, Mrs. Katie Allen of Athlestain, Iowa, Mrs. Viola Chandler of Lenox, Iowa, Mrs. Dora Allen of Martinsville and Mrs. Carrie Rucker of New Hampton, Mo. He is preceded in death by his daughter Betty Jane, and his mother and 5 brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday April 28, 1942, at the Bethany Mission, conducted by Mrs. l.H. Buck. Mrs. Buck and L. H.Anderson sang, Pallbearers were George W. Booher, Paul H. Booher, John B. Booher, Clarence Allen, Virgil L Booher, and V.M. Chandler.
