Made first vows 12 Aug 1936 and final vows 12 Aug 1942. She spent most of her life as an elementary teacher in Oregon and Washingon. She was also a successful artist, specializing in water colors and oil.

Sister Walter was born in Pendleton, Ore., and moved to Tacoma four years ago from Spokane.
A retired teacher, artist and musician, she was a member of the Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Lillian R. Walter of Sacramento, Calif.; four brothers, Clark J. Walter, Norbert A. Walter, Frank A. Walter, and Robert G. Walter, Joseph J Walter all in California; and three sisters, Maribel MacLennan in California and Kathleen Zerbetz and Elizabeth Vannet, both of Seattle.
