Walter of Carson City, NV, David N. Walter of San Francisco, Stephen R. Walter of Bakersfield, Thomas A. Walter of Austin, TX and children by marriage, David Gilman, Yvette, Amanda and Jance Walter and Lawreen Chin. He is also survived by his sisters Maribel MacLennan of Sacramento, Elizabeth Vannet of Seattle, WA., the late Sister Rose Madeleline, Kathleen Goertz of Renton, WA., and brothers John Clark Walter of Seal Beach, Robert G. Walter of Lake of the Pines, Joseph Walter of Fresno and Franklin Walter of Yahats, OR., and 12 grandchildren, many dear nieces and nephews.
Norbert was a native of Athena, OR., aged 80 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force. He was employed by McClellan Field for 35 years.
Friends are welcome for visitations 2 PM to 5 PM and are invited to attend a Rosary 7 pm, Sunday at Lombard & Co., Funeral Directors, 2930 Auburn Blvd, and a Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of his soul 10 AM Monday at St. Philomene Catholic Church, Bell at El Camino. Donations may be made to Mercy Hospice at 9940 Business Park Dr., or St. Patricks Home, 5905 Franklin Blvd.
