Joseph James Walter passed away friday, June 13 2003, at the U.S. Veterans Hospital in Fresno California at the age of 77. After a long battle with cancer. Joseph was born March 2, 1926 to Lillian Rose Clark Walter and John C. Walter.
He served in the U.S. Navy from June 1944 to May 18, 1946; U.S. Navy, Rank of SA. World War II. In his youth he enjoyed traveling and downhill skiing. Joe married and together with his wife Dorothy had five children; Andrew, Nancy, Laurie, Patrick and Amy. Joe retired from A1 Advertising after many years. He is survived by his five adult children and their spouses and 10 grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. He was buried on June 18, 2003 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine, Merced County, CA; Section 1 Site 2127.
