This is the view between the rear of the vault and straight down the roadway to the rear of this old section. The huge shrubs are arborvite and very slow growth shrubs. These could have been young landscape plantings at the time of his funeral.

This is taked from directly behind the vault and looking to the rear wall - to the few remaining locations of this section that were not violated and removed. The roadway would have been exactly the same one the family would habve used and there are a few of the old arborvite shrubs that could have been young plantings at the time of his funeral. Your ancestor's friends and relatives would have stood in this area.

This photo is from behind the vault, looking to the wall of Cave Hill Cemetery. These cemeteries are literally right next door and a large stone and brick wall divides them. Even today there are people who confuse the two locations and beleive they are the same cemetery.

In the old map of Eastern Cemetery, a landmark on both maps is this vault. This vault is right before the portion where the original burial of William M. Klingman was held. The persons attending the burial would have seen this vault, it was there before his interment.
