Mrs. Weaver Funeral Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Joe Weaver were held Friday afternoon in Oak Dale Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Q. Barnes officiated.
Pallbearers were Danny Carter, John Weaver, Ken Weaver, Ben Weaver, Danny Singlay and Les Grimes.
Mrs. Weaver died Wednesday in a Tifton nursing home after a long illness. She was 84 years of age.
Mrs. Weaver was the former Miss Martha Norman, daughter of the late James Thomas(Sonny) Norman and Mrs. Susan Jane Tucker Norman of Colquitt county. She was born in this county on July 8, 1895 and spent her life as a resident of the Norman Park area.
She was a member of South Side Baptist Church in Norman Park.
Surviving her are four sons, Derrell, James and Lamar Weaver, all of Norman Park and Ralph Weaver, Colquitt County, one daughter Mrs. S. J. (Oneita) Carter, Tifton, 12 grandchildren, four great grand children and several nieces and nephews. - Connie Bozeman , contributor
