Joe Derrell Weaver,, 74, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Sunrise Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Southside Baptist Church with Revs. T. Vanlandingham and J. Voyles officiating. Interment will be in Oak Dale Cemetery.
active pallbearers will be Ben Weaver, Danny Carter, Ken Weaver,. Tommy Johnson, John Weaver, Mickey Key and Eddie Soto. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Southside Baptist Church.
The son of the late Joe Bunyan Weaver and the late Martha Norman Weaver, Mr. Weaver was born April 14, 1921 in Colquitt County. He had retired as postmaster at Norman Park and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, James Weaver and Lamar Weaver, both of Norman Park; one sister, Oneita Carter of Tifton; 12 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at Harrell-0Faircloth Funeral Home. The Family will be staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Weaver on the Doerun- Norman Park Road.
