Harold J. (Cotton) Kellerman

Harold J. "Cotton" Kellerman, 73, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 4:58 P.M., Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital at Pinckneyville.

Cotton had been a farmer and had also worked as a coal miner at Burning Star #2 Coal Mine as a welder. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill. He was also a member of the UMW of A and supported Thresherman's activities.

He was born December 8, 1940 at Rice, IL, the son of William John and Rosa F. (Ritter) Kellerman.

He married Evelyn Kay Keller on September 21, 1966 at the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Pinckneyville, three children - Amy Mueller and husband Ronald of Venedy, IL, Aaron Kellerman and wife April of Albany, NY, and Angela Kellerman of Macon, GA, seven grandchildren - Krystal, Breanna, Kelsey, Robbie, Kenny, Austin, and Autumn, four great grandchildren - Raina, Natalia, Renee, and Kingston, two brothers - Floyd Kellerman and wife Doreatha of Tamaroa and Wilbert Kellerman of Addieville, IL, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters - Bernice Hagene and Marcella Krisby, and four brothers - Cecil Kellerman, Rudolph Kellerman, Albert Kellerman and Carl Kellerman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill with Fr. Bernard C. Goedde, Jr. officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Prayer service will be held at 4:30 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery at Todds Mill.

Friends may make memorials to Parkinson's Disease Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
