She was born April 29, 1907, in the town of Rockland, a daughter of Edward and Helen Damm Behnke. On November 24, 1927, she married Hugo Zutz in the town of Rockland. The couple spent most of their married life in Brillion, celebrating their golden wedding anniversary in November 1977. Mrs. Zutz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Brillion, the Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society and charter member of the Trinity School Club.
Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Milton (Valeria) Vallesky of Brillion and Mrs. Dave (Betty Jane) Karr of Appleton; a son, Hugo Jr., of Brillion; eight grandchildren; eight sisters, Mrs. Arnold Seehawer, Mrs. Mathilda Rush, Mrs. Evelyn Kanter, Mrs. Eldora Graf, all of Brillion, Mrs. Helen Otto of Chilton, Mrs. John Utke, Mrs. Alfred Zearner and Mrs. Arno Behnke of Reedsville, and three brothers, Henry Behnke of Collins, Frederick Behnke of Reedsville and Paul Behnke of Reedsville. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services were at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion, the Rev. Terry Deters, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
