DELLA B. UTKE

Della B. Utke, age 95, of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, formerly of Reedsville, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2001.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 21 at 11 a.m. at St. John-St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nomemsen will officiate. Burial will be in the West Side Cemetery, Reedsville.
She was born Oct. 28, 1905, in the town of Rockland, daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Damm) Behnke. She married John Utke on Oct. 4, 1925, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Collins. They lived and farmed in the town of Maple Grove. Delia was a member of St. John-St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Hilmann of Reedsville, four grandchildren: Joy and the Rev. James Bolda, Fall River, Jane and the Rev. Tom Schneider, Stevensville, Mich., Judy and Larry Boettcher, Reedsville, Jeff and Molly Hilmann, Green Bay; 10 great-grandchildren: Jace and Jenna Bolda, Abby, Emily, Jesse and Molly Schneider, Marissa, Landon, Taran and Callen Boettcher; three sisters: Esther Ziemer and Evelyn Kanter, both of Manitowoc; Elnora Graf, Brillion; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Fred and Margaret Behnke, Reedsville, Paul Behnke, Brillion, Myrtle Behnke, New Holstein, Viola Utke, Cedarburg, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on Nov. 6, 1984, an infant son, a great-granddaughter, Ashley Boettcher, three brothers and six sisters.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the staff and nurses at the Manitowoc Health Care Center for all the loving care, concern and kindness given to Della the last nine years as she made her home there.
