Services for Nettie Creed Hester, 89, of Wedowee were Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Iduma Congregational Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tim Craft and the Rev. Dorsey White officiating. Burial was in the Valley Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Hester died Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Wedowee Hospital.

Mrs. Hester is survived by one daughter,Evelyn Louise Fuller of Wedowee; one sister, Mammie Dalrymple of Newnan, Ga.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Heath Pate, Lanny Bolt, Jeff Waldrep, Shane Fuller and David Thompson.

Mrs. Hester was born Oct. 24, 1915, daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Loualice Jeter Huddleston. She was a member of Iduma Congregational Methodist Church, a retired cloth inspector for West Point Pepperell, and a member of the Swagg Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Creed; one son, Durward Creed; and one granddaughter, Camille Creed.
