WOODLAND, AL -- Funeral services for John A. Huddleston, 90, of Woodland, Route 1, were Friday, April 22, 1994, at 2 p.m. from Gray Hill Church of God, with Rev O. V. Sewell officiating. Burial was at the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Huddleston died Wednesday, April 20, 1994 at Traylor Nursing Home in Roanoke.
A native and lifelong resident of Randolph County, he was born August 8, 1903, son of Benjamin Franklin and Lou Alice Jeter Huddleston. He had worked as a farmer. His wife, Ida Josephine Huddleston, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margie L. Beall of Woodland and Mrs. Hazel Morgan of Roanoke; two sons, Kermit Huddleston of Ranburne and Mack Huddleston of Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Dalrymple and Mrs. Ida Smith of Roanoke and Mrs. Nettie Hester of Wedowee; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Huddleston, Daryl Huddleston, Christopher Huddleston, Jerry Bell, Tony Tiemersma and Ricky Tiemersma.
Quattlebaum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
