She was born April 26, 1920 in Hinckley to John Reeve and Mary Lyman.
She was a devout Mormon who loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her church, and, above all, her Heavenly Father.
She was very active in the church, including Relief Society and home teaching. She and her sister, Margaret Soffe, were honored to be called to the mission field where they served in Virginia as venerable ladies in their 80s from August of 2001 through February of 2002.
Adelia was a member and officer with the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, joining in October of 1988 with the Ship Brooklyn Camp. She served tirelessly as Camp Captain, Secretary, and with her sister, Emma Olsen, at DUP headquarters. All who knew Adelia recognized her true heart's desire to serve others. She will be greatly missed.
Survived by her siblings, Grant Reeve, Reed L. Reeve, and Margaret (Reeve) Soffe; children, Erich R. (Carly) David, John R. (Lucille) David, Beverly David, and Mary Srb; grandchildren, Sharon David, Maureen David, Kevin David, Michael David, Gina (Jason) Meadows, Jason D. (Lindsay) Saul, Natasha Srb, and Yuri Srb; and great-grandchildren, Ashley David, Coco Saul, Kingston Saul, and Jagger Saul. Preceded in death by her husbands, Otto John David and William W. Watts; daughter, Adelia David; brother, Platte D. Reeve; and sister, Emma R. Olsen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may attend a visitation at the mortuary on Thursday, May 22, 2014 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
Interment will take place at a later date in a private service at Pajaro Valley Cemetery, Watsonville, California.
