Edwin was the youngest of seven children born to James Henry and Annie Belle (Caraway) Baker. He married (1) Juanita Inez Quinney and they were the parents of three sons: Edwin Matthew, Barry Neal and Karl Wayne. He married (2) RoShell Caraway.

FREDERICKSBURG -- Edwin T. Baker, 69, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999.

He was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Smiley, to the late James Henry and Annie Belle Caraway Baker. He was a rancher and a member of the American Legion, he also served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors: wife, Ro Shell Caraway Baker; sons, Edwin M. Baker and Karl W. Baker of Stockdale; step-daughters, Belinda Grams of San Antonio and Shelly Lynn Orsdale of Corpus Christi; sisters, Mercile Ryan of Gonzales and Doris Mares of Cistern; eight grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; son, Barry Neal Baker; brother, Herman Baker; sisters, Velma Crook, Texa Baker and Evia Baker.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Finch Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Bundick Cemetery. Finch Funeral Chapel, Stockdale, (830) 996-3805.
