Jerry Pech, 72, Melnik farmer and well known early-day musician in the county, died last night at the Holy Family hospital, following
a week's illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Husar funeral
home, Kellnersville. Burial will be in the Kossuth National cemetery.
Mr. Pech was born in Kossuth in 1873 and in 1907 married Miss Mary Libal. They located on the homestead farm near Melnik. He was a member of the famous Pech's brass band, which played for many social functions in the county in earlier days.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, PFC. Erving, in France, Alvin, on
the home farm; brother, Henry, of Taus; sister, Mrs. Joseph Soukup,
of this city.
