GRAPENTINE, Martha Jean 87, a long time resident of Enon, passed away, Sunday February 22, 2009 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband Jack of 65 years; eldest son, J. Dee Grapentine and wife Mary of Albuquerque, NM; twin brother, James Ailes of Alliance, Ohio; grandchildren, Laura Borboa and Mathew Grapentine, two great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Benjamin; and daughter-in-law Shelia Grapentine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma and Floyd Ailes of Alliance, Ohio; sisters Betty and Nancy; and two sons, David Erwin and Robert Neal. Marty was a loving wife and mother. For 26 years she was an Air Force wife accompanying her husband on both overseas and stateside assignments. During this time she lovingly raised her three sons. She was a talented artist, seamstress and homemaker. She loved golf, enjoying many happy hours on and off the course with her womens group. She was also an active member of the Enon United Methodist Church. We are so grateful for all the memories of her loving care, her sense of beauty, and unconditional love. Marty, we will miss you dearly, but we know your love will live in out hearts and lives of all the many people you have touched. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and her remains will be interred in Alliance, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at a future date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements were made with Adkins Funeral Home in Enon.
