George Schafer's parents were Lenhardt and Margaret Schafer. George and his wife, Rosina, emigrated to the USA fron Selgenstadt, Wuerttenburg, Germany as per their son, Frederick, in a post card in the 1960's.

George was 49 years of age when he passed so the birth year on his stone probably should read 1846 or 1847 instead of 1845.( L.A.)
