A memorial service for Donald J.Bauer, 82, will be held at Emmanuel Congregational Church. Donald J. Bauer passed away July 28, 2014. Don was born July 10, 1032 in Mitchell Valley, NE to John and Emilia Bauer. He served our country in the US Marine Corps in his early years, married his beautiful wife Elnora Richard on March 22, 1953. He owned his own mechanic business and made a great living for his wife and four daughters. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Don and Elnora enjoyed 53 wonderful years together with their children. Don was also a life-long member of Emmanuel Congregational Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, having coffee with his friends and watching the Colorado Rockies. Survivors include Daughters Christi Thomas(Brett) of Seattle, WA, Suzanne Wlezen (Jack) of Lakewood, CO, Donnell Chapman of Scottsbluff,and Jonette Bauer(Bob Noecker)also of Scottsbluff, grandchildren Gina Wlezen (Gerald Tafoya), April Strauch (Derek), Molly Chapman (Dave Barker), and John Thomas, sister Helen Keller, brothers Robert Bauer and Richard Bauer. Don was preceded in death by his wife Elnora, his parents John and Emilia, sisters Elaine Harshman, Leona Morgan, and Mariam Durfy, brothers Wilbert Bauer and Raymond Bauer, and Son in law Edward Chapman.
