A funeral for John Bauer, 82, of 1518 12th Ave., who died Thursday in a Scottsbluff hospital, will be held 10 a. m. Monday in the Emmanuel Congregational church here with the Rev. Edwin Dahmer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A memorial to the Emmanuel Congregational Church building fund has been established. Benson-Jolliffe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born Nov. 14, 1892, at Katharinental [Odessa], Russia, he came to the United States in 1913 and began farming at Sterling, Colo., in 1914. He came to the Valley in 1922 and farmed here until his retirement in 1959. He was a lifetime member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church. Survivors include his widow Amelia; sons Wilbert of Morrill, Donald and Robert, both of Scottsbluff, Richard of Gering; daughters Mrs. Leona Morgan of San Diego, Calif., Mrs. Helen Keller of Mitchell, Mrs. Miriam Durfee and Mrs. Elaine Harshman, both of Douglas, Wyo., sister Mrs. Katherine Ross of Gering; 20 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
