Janice Marie (Turner) Tyler, 71, of Cheyenne departed this life Nov. 8 in Denver.

Mrs. Tyler was born Nov. 17, 1936, in Cheyenne to Amos and Katherine P. (Catlett) Turner. Janice grew up in Cheyenne and attended the local schools. In 1979, Janice moved to Little Rock, Ark., and married Charles Tyler.

Janice worked for an insurance company as a file clerk, while she was living in Cheyenne. She later retired from the Kmart store in Little Rock, and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Janice Turner is survived by her mother, Katherine P. Turner of Aurora, Colo.; she was a loving mother to her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Lance and Rochelle Lyons and Anthony Turner, all of Cheyenne, and her three daughters and son-in-law, Angela "Pumpkin" King of Cleveland, Yvette Turner of Nashville, Tenn., and Cheryl and Bryant Beeler of Allen, Texas. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Wilma and John Streator of Nashville, and Lucinda Hasty of Kansas City, Mo. She was blessed to have nine grandchildren, Trenetta Wimes (Chuck) of Nashville, Aaron Turner of Norfolk, Va., Michael D'Andre Howlett and Bryant, Tristen, and Page Beeler of Allen, Karetha Zanyaille and Gregory Lyons of Cheyenne, and Anthony Turner of Houston. Janice had four great- grandchildren, Sydney and Cameron Wimes of Nashville, Aaron Greer of Cleveland, and Aariona Shropshire of Chattanooga, Tenn. Her survivors also include her nieces, Debra Bullock of Florida, Sheretta Penn, Jackie Markham, and Brittany Bunch, all of Aurora, Veronica and Jessica Markham of Chicago, and Delana Markham of Nashville; her nephews, Robert Black (Debra) and D'Andre Black, all of Bloomington, Ind., Ronnie Markham (Angela) of Nashville, Roland Black of Florida, Lamar Ward of Aurora, and Joshua Markham of Chicago; a brother-in-law, Willie Markham of Aurora; and her cousin, Roland Catlett of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tyler; her father, Amos Turner; two sisters, Mary Black and Beverly Markham; and her daughter, Michelle Turner.
