Graveside Rites For Mrs. Glen Carson

Graveside rites for Mrs. Glen Carson of Oakland were held Friday in
the Baptist Cemetery at Swaburg. A service was held at the
Methodist Church in Oakland with the Rev. Maurice Holt officiating.
Pallbearers were three grandsons and three nephews. Mrs. Carson,
72, died last Tuesday at a Blair Nursing Home just two weeks
following the death of her husband. She had been an invalid for a
number of years suffering from shaking palsy. She was born in
Swaburg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matts Olson on the farm where
the Carl Egbers family reside. She attended the Swaburg School. Her
marriage to Glen Carson took place 55 years ago at Tekamah.
Survivors are four sons, five daughters, 25 grandchildren, 8 great
grandchildren, a sister and a brother. Besides her husband and her
parents she was also preceded in death by three sons, a sister, two
brothers and a half-brother.
