SIDNEY -- Mrs. Nellie M. Wells, 66, of 32 Union Street, died at The Hospital, Sidney, yesterday. She had been in poor health for some time. She had lived in Sidney since
1935.

She was born Dec. 8, 1887 in Rome, the daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Duff) Hale.

Private funeral services will be held at the C. H. Landers Chapel on Friday with the Rev. Roger B. Glazier of the Methodist Church officiating. The body will be placed in
the vault of the Prospect Hill Cemetery with a service and burial in the spring at Churchville.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur E. Wells; a daughter, Mrs. Erling F. Hellan, a grandson, Ralph W. Hellan of Sidney; three sisters, Mrs. George J. Kline, Mrs. Margaret Blair, Mrs. Arlo Thayer, all of Rome; three brothers, William Hale of Rome; Thomas Hale of Port Leyden; Frederick Hale of St. Petersburg, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Methodist Church of Sidney; of the Harvester Class, of the Sidney Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and of the University Club.
