Funeral Services Held October 7 for Reinhard Tesch, 68

Funeral services for Reinhard P Tesch were held Wednesday. Oct 7 at St John Lutheran Church at Germantown. Mr Tesch passed away Sunday Oct 4 at his home in Paullina reaching the age of 68 years. 11 months and 17 days.

Rev Charles Kramer officiated at the services Active pallbearers were Verlon Tesch. Waldo Hurtig. Dennis Appeldorn. Robert Tesch Lynford Dau and Leslie Miller Honorary pallbearers were Albert Frerk Henry Hurtig. Dale Breitbarth Frank Koehlmoos. Dewane Mesncr and Franz Sieh Mrs Charles Broekmann was organist as the congregation sang two hymns
Graveside military services were conducted by the Russell West American Legion Post of Paullina. Final resting place was St John Lutheran Cemetery near Germantown with Gaudian-Eldridgc Funeral Home in charge of arrangements

Reinhard P. Tesch. the son of William and Sophia Ebert Tesch. was born Oct 17. 1912 in Cherokee County. Ia He was baptized on Dec 8. 1912 and later confirmed on April 10. 1927 at St John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. Reinhard received his education also at St John Lutheran School. He was later called to service in the Army during World War II.

He was united in marriage to Mildred Koehlmoos on Feb 2, 1947 at Germantown To this union one son. Randall, was born, she passed away on Dec 24, 1954.

He was then united in marriage to Luella Sieh and she passed away on July 30, 1960 in Paullina.

Reinhard was engaged in farming in the Paullina area for many years, retiring in 1978. He passed away at his residence on Sunday. Oct 4. 1981 reaching the age of 68 years. 11 months and 17 days.

He was a member of St John Lutheran Church in Germantown and the Russell West Post of the American Legion

Reinhard is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Hilda) Miller and Mrs. Bill (Lucille) Hurtig, both of Paullina; and two brothers. Raymond Tesch of Spencer and Ira Tesch of Paullina: three half sisters, Mrs. Ray (Ella) Appeldorn, Mrs. Delbert (Marcella) Appeldorn, and Mrs. Leslie (Luetta) Dau, all of Paullina, one half brother, LeRoy Mesner of Primghar; and two step brothers, Walter Mesner of Paullina and Earl Mesncr of Sutherland; also many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, one infant son and one sister.
