Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Crago Barkman of Carmichaels who died Monday night, March 16, 1931, at 9:15 in her home. The services were conducted in the Carmichaels Methodist Church of which she was a member, and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. O. E. Rodkey. Interment was in the Laurel Point Cemetery. Mrs. Barkman was widely known and highly esteemed. She came of a prominent Greene County family and lived most of her life in the Carmichaels community. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Crago and was born 75 years ago. Besides her husband, well known Carmichaels news dealer, she leaves three children: Mrs. Anna Matthews of Chicago, Miss Elizabeth Barkman and Walter Barkman at home. Three sisters also survive as follows: Mrs. Frank Worthington of Washington, Mrs. Laura Kelly of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Cassie Hoskinson of Waynesburg.
