Elva S. Koutnik, age 85, of 3134 Monroe Street, Two Rivers, died Wednesday evening, August 15, 2012, in Two Rivers.
Elva was born October 3, 1926, in Hallsboro, NC, daughter of the late Wiley and Carrie (Stevens) Young. On September 21, 1947, she married Robert E. Koutnik (the former District Attorney of Manitowoc County for 18 years) in Elkton, MD. Elva was a compassionate wife and caring mother who dearly loved her family and was involved in her church and her community. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Koutnik, Two Rivers; three daughters and sons-in-law: Barbara and Don McMasters, Lakeside, AZ; Betty and Tom Arndt, Oconomoc; Nancy and Michael Trost, Atlanta; two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Monica Koutnik, Two Rivers; Edward and Cindy Koutnik, Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren; one sister: Dorothy McNeilly, Tampa, FL; and one brother: Robert Young, Sebastian, FL. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Monday, August 20, 2012, from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m.
