William Pressley Cooper, 69, 319 North Trenholm Road, died at the Columbia Hospital at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon after an illness of several weeks.

He was born in Williamsburg County, the son of William Cooper and Esther Daniel Cooper, but had lived in Columbia for the past 43 years.

Mr Cooper had been in the real estate business since he came to Columbia and he was a member of Shandon Presbyterian church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs Daisy Haselden Cooper; five sons, William Pressley Cooper, Jr of Sarasota, Florida, Edwin H Cooper, Charles F Cooper, James D Cooper, Frank D Cooper, all of Columbia; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs Mecca Cooper Preston, Mrs Daniel F deTreville, Miss Grace Cooper, all of Columbia, and Mrs George Winship Easterday of Coronada, California; one brother, Paul Anderson Cooper of Columbia.
