Nellie (Wojewodzic) DiFranco, age 97, passed away on January 10th 2022.
Nellie was born on July 11th 1924 in Port Henry, N.Y., she was the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Uraszak) Wojewodzic.
She was the oldest daughter of 8 siblings and took on the role as matriarch at the tender age of 12 upon her Mother's untimely death.
She married the love of her life Daniel "Danny" A. DiFranco and they spent most of their years in Torrington, Conn. raising their one son. He predeceased her on October 31st 2013.
Nellie was a hard worker and ran a store with her husband.
Her main love was her family as she was fondly known as Nonie to her grandchildren. A shrewd card player, she loved to gamble and spend time with her friends in Daytona Beach Shores, Fla., cook delicious foods, bake her famous carrot cake and crochet.
Nellie was predeceased by her loving husband; Danny DiFranco, her parents, and many siblings.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the St Thomas Cemetery in Southington, Conn.
