Born in the Farnams section of Cheshire on Sept. 9, 1919, daughter of Domenico and Annunziata Bianchi Albertazzi, she attended schools in Cheshire and the former Adams High School.
Mrs. Charron was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for more than 30 years until her retirement in 1981. She had first been employed at the former General Electric Co. in Pittsfield during World War II.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing and stamp collecting, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and followed the games regularly.
She leaves two daughters, Nancy J. Hall of Pittsfield and Karen Lindsey of the state of Florida; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; her wonderful former son-in-law, Ted Carlson of Pittsfield, and many nieces and nephews.
Her grandson Robert Lindsey, four sisters and two brothers are deceased: Chesela Magi, Elizabeth Bongini, Gina Simpson, Alda Roy, Biagio Albertazzi and Reno Albertazzi, who was killed in action in World War II.
Her brother-in-law, Norman J. Roy, died April 30, 2014.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Charron will be celebrated Tuesday, May 6, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.
