Max Allen Waggoner was born November 9, 1928 in Billings, OK to Chester and Ella Mae McIntyre Waggoner and passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 in The Commons.

Max grew up and attended school in Billings graduating in 1946. On August 7, 1950 in entered the Army National Guard, serving in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged on August 9, 1953. Max married Virginia Joanne King on October 11, 1952 in Enid. Max started working for Champlin Petroleum in 1946 and retiring in 1988 after 42 years. Max was the last employee to leave Champlin after the sale of the company.

Max is survived by his wife Joanne of the home, son Roger Waggoner of Enid, daughter Joella Wheeler and husband Rob of Beijing, China, grandchildren, Tyson, Kama, Derek, and Shane, great grandchildren, Landan and Maya, Brothers Dick, Willie, and Jimmy Waggoner, Sister Donanne Bellmon and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and a brother.

A Celebration of Life Service for Max A. Waggoner age 86 of Enid will be at the Billings Union Cemetery, Billings, OK on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gail Edmison officiating.
