Jeff Colvin, 67, died Thursday, December 23 at his Oil Springs home following a brief illness.

Mr. Colvin was the son of John Henry and Alice Fairchild Colvin.

He was born July 15, 1909, in Johnson County, and was a veteran of World War II.

His first wife, Lennie Cantrell Colvin, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Margarett Reed Colvin, three sons, Kenneth Colvin and Jimmy Colvin, both of Oil Springs, and Lowell Colvin of River; three
step sons, Robert P. Reed, and Anthony Reed, both of Staffordsville and Jerry Lee Reed of Springfield, OH; two daughters, Opal McQueen of Dayton, OH and Gail Lewis of Flatwoods, KY; three brothers, Earl Colvin and Tom Colvin, both of Beaver, OH, and Manford Colvin of East Point; four sisters, Mae Blanton of Keaton, Sis Bailey of Jackson, OH, Sarah Bailey of Beaver, OH, and Molly Hitchcock of Waverly, OH; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 26, in the Paintsville Funeral Home with Lonza Reed and James Kelly Caudill as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Oil Springs with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
