He was born May 7, 1941, in Johnson County, the son of Jeff and Lennie Cantrell Colvin.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Dutton Colvin, whom he married Feb 20, 1970 in Magoffin County. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Colvin of
West Liberty, Steven, John and Kelly Colvin, all of River; a daughter, Maggie Colvin, of River, a brother, Jimmy Colvin of Oil Springs; two sisters, Opal McQueen of Oil Springs, and Gail Lewis of Columbus, OH.
Services were held Sunday, Sep 10 in Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Lindsey Meade officiating.
Burial was in Hargus Cemetery at Oil Springs.
