He was born March 19, 1933, in Alma, Ohio, to the late Hobert and Hazel Burdett Pool. Harold was married to the former Jean Yoe who died June 24, 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Penny (Michael) Wolf, of Chillicothe; sons Randy M. Poole, of Columbus, Paul Poole of Lancaster and Mark Poole, of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen McCullough, Ethel(Peter) Hill, both of Chillicothe; a brother, Estel Pool, of Clarksburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson; brothers, John, James, Frank Leonard, Larry and Michael Pool; and a sister, Dorothy MuCullough.
Harold served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Harold retired from General Electric, Circleville.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 in thee WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe.
Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at Ware's from 4-6 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Adena Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
