Estel Eugene Pool, 86, of Clarksburg, died 10:55 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born November 13, 1931, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Hobart and Hazel Burdette Pool.

On September 21, 1956, he married the former Beulah Mae Wolfe who died July 8, 2008.

Surviving are three children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by daughters, Marilyn Davis and Carolyn Curtis; and siblings, John, James, Dorothy, Frank, Robert, Annett, Estel, Harold, Larry, Mike and Arnett.

Estel had attended Clarksburg United Methodist Church and retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 in Clarksburg United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow in Browns Chapel Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.

Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
