Lydia Mayer, 89, Villa Maria Healthcare Center, Fargo, N.D., died Monday, March 22, 1999, in the healthcare center.
Lydia Miller was born Oct. 20, 1909, near Gackle, N.D., where she grew up and attended school.
On Nov. 15, 1932, she married Gustav Mayer near Gackle. They farmed near Gackle until 1969, when they retired to Gackle. He died in 1982. In 1983 she moved to Fargo. She entered the health-care center in November 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Edmond (Wiltraud), Marvin (Carol), both Fargo; a daughter, Irene Martin, West Fargo; a sister, Barbara (Edwin) Lang, Streeter, N.D.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
