Mrs. Marie (Mary) Polzak, 89, a resident of St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, December 18, at St. Mary Home.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James Stamborski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Polzak, nee Marie Vesely, was born March 23, 1893, at Reedsville, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Vondrachek Vesely. She was married to James L. Polzak Sept. 3, 1918, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1926 residing here since. He preceded her in death April 14, 1955. Mrs. Polzak was a charter member of St. Andrew parish and a charter member of St. Andrew women’s council.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Vesely of Reedsville; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Klein, Mrs. Emma Stadler and Mrs. Clara Wallander all of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Rev. Lawrence, Frank, Charles, Joseph and Adolph.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 o’clock to 9 o’clock this Sunday evening. Prayer service 7:30 o’clock this Sunday evening by Rev. Stamborski.
