Milo Severson, 83, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 18, 2006.

He was born May 28, 1922, in North Dakota to Enus and Emma (Brox) Severson. He married Sarah DeGrange on Nov. 1, 1944, in New York. He served in the Navy during World War II and worked as a Boom Truck operator in high line construction.

He was a member of Dovre Lutheran Church and Local 953 IBEW. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, working crosswords and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Lynn) Trowbridge of New Auburn, Dorothy (Alan) Mikula of Lima, Mont., and Sandra (Dan) Gullickson of Sand Creek; one step-brother, Morris Bakken of Hayward; 10 grandchildren, Tim (Karen) Trowbridge of New Auburn, Chad (Sarah) Trowbridge of Chippewa Falls, Kami (Dave) Weis) of Spencer, Tracy (Dennis) Fallon of Ham Lake, Minn., Kristin (Loren) Bowe of Chippewa Falls, Michelle Mikula of Chippewa Falls, Brent (Amanda) Mikula of Helena, Mont., Gabriel Gullickson of Eau Claire, Gandriel Gullickson of Wausau and Logan Gullickson of Sand Creek; 12 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Ethan, Sidney, Madee, Colton, Garrett, Alexa, Jordan, Kyle, Sean, Shelbi and Isabelle; and special dog, Annie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah; step-father, Magnus Bakken; infant son, Joseph; sister, Harriet Bakken; brother, Glen Severson; two step-brothers, Gordon and Herbert Bakken; great-grandson, Devon Kramschuster.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at Dovre Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jerry Hibbard officiating. Interment was in the Dovre Cemetery with military graveside rites performed by the Chetek American Legion. Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer coordinated the funeral services. [Chetek Alert, Chetek, WI.]
