Death of Mrs. Stanley Germond.
At the home of her sister, Mrs. Archibald Dawes, in Kirkland, on Thursday, occurred the death of Ada DeVinney, wife of Stanley Germond. She had been ill with tuberculosis for about a year, and her death was not unexpected. Her mother, Mrs. Francelia (Lawton) DeVinney, died a short time ago, after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Germond was born in this town about 26 years ago and had always resided here. She was a young woman of many attractive qualities and was formerly employed as an [unreadable].
She was a member of St. James Church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Germond leaves one sister, Mrs. Archibald Dawes, and a brother, Robert DeVinney, whose wife died when he was in France and who had been home but a few days when his mother passed away.
The funeral service on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Dawes was conducted by Rev. Robert J. Parker of St. James Church. The interment was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
