Joyce Marie Mann was born April 21st, 1931 in Willow Ranch, California to Margie Cordelia Clinton and Walter Calvin Mann. She was the oldest of three children, including her brothers David Herman Mann and Robert "Bobbie" Clinton Mann. Their father Walter worked in saw mills, and they bounced around throughout northern California until settling down in Humboldt county. At some point, Margie divorced Walter and then married Gottfried "Fred" Roth. Fred treated the three kids like they were his own. Shortly after Margie and Fred got married, the family moved to Orland, California.
She married Melvin Edgmon around 1947 and had one son: Michael Jeffery Edgmon. Michael married Debbie Witczek, and they had two daughters: Michelle Rene Edgmon and Erica Christine Edgmon.
Joyce lived in Oroville, California for many years, and upon retirement, she moved to Paradise, California to be close to her son and granddaughters. She worked at the Laborer's Union Local #185 in Oroville, California for over 25 years.
Joyce passed away on March 10th, 2010 at her home in Paradise, California. At the time of her death, she was survived by her brother Bobbie, her son Michael, daughter-in-law Debbie, and granddaughters Michelle and Erica.
