LAGODA -- Sophia Lagoda, age 83, of Bridgeport died Sunday April 20, 1997 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mrs. Lagoda was born in Woonsocket, RI and was an area resident most of her life. She was a retired employee of Bridgeport Machines. She was the widow of John Lagoda. Surviving include two sons, John and his wife Doris Lagoda of Shelton, Michael and his wife Carol Lagoda of Rhode Island,; one daughter Patricia and her husband Samuel Magri of Shelton, one sister Helen Coughlin of Danbury; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Juliann Cammellere. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will be in Mount Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Tuesday (Today) from 4 to 8 p.m.
